New Book in Progress

February 2, 2012

Cut open my soul
I bleed inside
Lose control
I should have lied…

I finally decided to start writing a book of poems & short stories. Stay tuned because it might take me a while to complete. :)

You made my words stutter

December 14, 2011

You made my words stutter
In awkward silence
I began to shutter
In self defense

Thinking of consequences
That could array
I cannot confess
You are at bay

My actions unclear
You wonder why
Each time you’re near
I want to fly

Escape from your presence
No one will know
Why we’re so tense
Nothing to show

I hide in my shell
A forbidden thought
Under your spell
Life has brought

I remain in silence
No one will see
What makes sense
Without a fee

Hidden in a sea
Of forbidden emotions
Not to be set free
In life’s ocean

Long Beach Comic Con

November 2, 2011

I attended Long Beach Comic Con this past Halloween weekend.  It was a fun event, filled with lots of artists and fans.  I was signing limited edition copies of the first feature length thriller film I produced and starred in, “Client 14.”  I also spoke on a panel about American Horrors and “Client 14.”  The director of “Client 14,” Patrick O’Bell was also at the event.

Here’s a photo of myself at the event:

Los Angeles, Ca., October 19, 2011 – Probell Films is proud to announce that The Suburban Count is now available online for free viewing.

The Suburban Count is an experimental, comedy, horror film; written, directed and produced by Maureen “Mo” Whelan.  Featuring Ozzie Carnan Jr., Andy Gates, Chris Andrews, Marjorie DeHey Daleo, Yvonne LaVallee, and Benny Andrews.  The animated intro was created by Amit Tishler.

A hopeless drunk, the Suburban Count, is forced to live in a single bedroom apartment with his best friend, a dog, after his castle is foreclosed on. Unfortunately, he also has to share the apartment with his two lazy, leech, vampire friends.  The film was shot entirely in one day, from 2pm – 10pm. It was created for fun, and with the intention of silly humor.

My Soul Turned Black

August 27, 2011

My soul turned black
As you held me down
And made your attack

Your eyes empty
No soul inside
I couldn’t see

Blinded by sight
Internal vision
Without light

I heard you breath
In my ear
As I waited for death

I stared into your eyes
My eyes turned black
My soul dies

An empty tear
Ran down my cheek
I lost all fear

Blood tears fell
Numbness consumes
In my cold cell

Sorry
Was the word you whispered
Sorry
