You made my words stutter

December 14, 2011

You made my words stutter
In awkward silence
I began to shutter
In self defense

Thinking of consequences
That could array
I cannot confess
You are at bay

My actions unclear
You wonder why
Each time you’re near
I want to fly

Escape from your presence
No one will know
Why we’re so tense
Nothing to show

I hide in my shell
A forbidden thought
Under your spell
Life has brought

I remain in silence
No one will see
What makes sense
Without a fee

Hidden in a sea
Of forbidden emotions
Not to be set free
In life’s ocean
